Recreation
Gorham is home to one of three University of Southern Maine campuses. USM is a public university with partnerships throughout the State, providing students with excellent opportunities and experiences to build their careers. USM also hosts many theater performances and sports games open to the public.
Adjacent to the USM campus is Gorham Village, a comfortable, casual village with popular pizzerias and other restaurants favored among college students and townspeople.
Education
The Gorham School Department includes Great Falls Elementary School (K-5), Narragansett Elementary School (K-5), Village Elementary School (K-5), Gorham Middle School (6-8), and Gorham High School (9-12). GHS is a large school with over 850 students enrolled.
Many GHS and GMS students participate in sports, clubs, and organizations.
